How To Get To Sámara
The closest airport is San José International (SJO).
From there, you can take a bus, a taxi or rent a car. It's better to book a flight that arrive in San Jose early afternoon or morning if you want to take a bus.
By Bus
The most economical way to go to Casa Bonita is to take a bus from San José. The company offering a daily bus service is called Empressa Alfaro Ltda. Departure time: 12:00pm and 17pm, arrives in Samara in about 4h30 (it can takes up to 6 hours long, depending on the traffic). A bus will take you to San Jose in 30 minutes, but it's probably better to use a taxi from the airport to the bus station.
By Taxi
The easiest way to go to Casa Bonita is to take a taxi From San José Airport (SJO). The journey will take about 4h30 up to 5h30 depending on the traffic. The cost is between $220 and $280.
By Car
The other option would be to rent a car from the airport, this is relevant if you want to travel around the area.
